3 Ideas of Augmented Reality project
- Keyboard for TV
Some years ago, TV with backlighting to give a fake extension to our TV, without an expansive price. It didn't become the norm, so, I think, people don't like it too much, but...
Base on this idea we could have a more precise light to give basic information, if it is not possible we could have a small projector. The objective is to display some information (option and timeline) without disturbing the movie. Currently, it looks like this : ![]() |

As you see, the device could extend his height in relation to what we want to display. I didn't push the research on the feasibility and price but, in my opinion, it doesn't look so much futurist and impossible to achieve. Maybe, one day, I will code it for me.
- 360 mirror device
- ARecipe
The application will in live or with photos recognize product that you want to eat. Then it will purpose you an idea of recipe by asking you "Do you have this?" using what you've already done and like and also it will start, by the recipe will lest probability (in this case lasagna) to make you think : "Oh next time I will buy this to make this..."
If the algorithm is wrong you can warn him by using the red button. Then press the green one to say "I want a recipe" :
1 Prototype : 360 mirror device
I create my arm with a flag holder in plastic and fixed my smartphone with some scotches, i put it in this way because I have a wide-angle on this face. I also use double-sided scotch to fix another phone on the mirror.
My guinea pig is Julen my roomate, Célestin record the scene and I'm the arm : Evaluation by Julen (friend/roommate)
In this video we have the feedback of Julen superimposed on the prototype's video.
I think my roommate and the other on the room like this idea (He's first answer is very sincere) but this prototype is the 0.001 version of the idea.
Also, his last question is interesting because on my sketch we display the image above our subject but with this idea we look up and don't see clearly our back head, so it's important to display the result just in front of our subject.
The first idea is to projected on the right or left (because the arm could move around our subject) but it could conduce to other issues and more calculation for the projector. The second one, will need a connected mirror which are currently appearing to display the result of the camera : no more projectors needed.
